However, the household has 30 days from the date the “A” Form was filed to provide requested verification and still be entitled to benefits from the date the “A” Form was received. • If the 30th day falls on a weekend or holiday, the household will have until the next business day to provide the information. • If the 30th day falls on a weekend or holiday, the worker has until the last business day prior to the 30th day to process the case and still be timely. • If the household is approved for expedited service, set a postponed verification alert in CHIP to be generated 30 days from the date of recertification. • If postponed verification is not received, close the case.

Example #1: The household completes the interview on July 10th. Actual date of interview is coded on CHIP INRD screen, and a Y is also entered in the “Completed” field to acknowledge the completion of the interview. The household must be given at least 10 days to submit verification. Verification is due by July 20th. Verification is received July 19th. The form should be processed by August 4th with the allotment being prorated from (July 5th) the date the recertification form was received.

Example #2: The household completes the interview on July 17th. Actual date of interview is coded on CHIP INRD screen, and a Y is also entered in the “Completed” field to acknowledge the completion of the interview.
