B-1822-1-FITAP - PR SCREENING AT REDETERMINATION

At redetermination, send form OFS 18C scheduling a telephone interview for the completion of the DAST 20 prior to the end of the certification period. If no further referral to OBH is required, enter a case note upon completion of the DAST 20.

B-1822-2-FITAP - PR SCREENING AT CHANGE REPORT

When a * required ** household member age 18 or older is added to an active FITAP case, a drug screening questionnaire must be administered. Send form OFS 18C and/or OFS 12 scheduling a telephone interview for the completion of the DAST 20 prior to including the household member. If no further referral to OBH is required, enter a case note upon completion of the DAST 20.

B-1823-FITAP - PR REASONABLE CAUSE

Refer recipients to OBH at any time there is reasonable cause to suspect that a recipient is using or is dependent on illegal drugs. This may be based on direct observation or on reliable information indicating the use of or dependence on illegal drugs received from a reliable source.

Referrals to OBH on the basis of observation or reliable information from a reliable source must be approved by a supervisor.

It is not necessary to complete the DAST 20 prior to referral to OBH when the referral is based on observation or on reliable information from an outside source.
