MS 4030* NATIONAL ACCURACY CLEARINGHOUSE (NAC)- MATCH TASK FLOWS (2)
calls are not expected to be made during SNAP Mid-Review, reinstatement, or when report a change actions do not include the addition of a SNAP household member.
2. Systematic initiated NAC calls are only made once per day.
C. Retrieving Updated Match Details
1. When staff are updating the SNAP Duplicate Participation (NAC) screen the latest match details will be retrieved and displayed.
2. There are no restrictions on the number of NAC calls made to the Get Match Details method.
D. Sending Initial Action and Match Updates to NAC
1. Valid Match Found
The Initial Action Date field is read-only and is displayed and enabled when the question “Is This a Valid Match” is answered Yes. When the initial action is updated and determined as valid, staff must select either, “Send RFI Notice” or “Client Provided Required Verification.”
a. When “Send RFI Notice” is selected, the system will generate a SNAP RFI to the individual, requesting further verification of matched benefits from out of state. When this system entry is made, a NAC call is not made until the nightly batch runs. A response is sent to NAC notifying that a notice was sent to the individual.
1) If “Send RFI Notice” is saved as the Initial Action then sent to NAC, the NAC record will remain editable until the RFI is cleared.
2) If “Notice Sent” is selected, the information is sent to NAC as the initial action.
3) Once the “Send RFI Notice” option is selected it is not available again until the pending RFI is cleared.
4) If “Initial Action” was marked as “Send RFI Notice” and the RFI is not sent due to the SNAP case denying for not meeting other eligibility requirements, once the case is disposed a response is sent to NAC that shares an initial response as “Client Provided Required Verification” (if Kentucky is Initiating state). This updates the final disposition as Benefits Denied and the NAC match is closed.
b. When “Client Provided Required Verification” is selected the individual already provided the necessary verification to resolve the match.
