MS 4020* NATIONAL ACCURACY CLEARINGHOUSE (NAC)- MATCH TASKS (1)

Tasks will be automatically created when NAC calls are made from other states which result in potential matches with Kentucky, or when Kentucky makes a NAC call that results in potential matches with other states, or when the nightly batch identifies individuals who meet certain criteria but fall into a non-member category. These tasks are as follows:

A. Review NAC Match Task

1. A task will be created when NAC is called, and a potential match is identified with Kentucky being the matching state. This task will alert staff that a potential match was identified, and a review is required.

a. If the individual does have an active SNAP case in Kentucky, staff will take the following actions:

1) If, based on NAC match details and the available documentation, staff can determine the match as valid, then select the reason as “Client Verified Moved Out of State” for all household members.

2) If, based on NAC match details and an insufficient amount of available documentation, staff determines that the match is valid, but an RFI needs to be sent then select the reason as “Send RFI Notice” for all household members.

3) If, based on NAC match details and the available documentation staff have determined that the match is invalid, then select the invalid reason as “Other” for all household members and add notes in the “Comments” field.

b. If the individual does not have an active SNAP case in Kentucky, staff will navigate to the Individual Summary Screen to access the “NAC Match Review” button to update action to “Notice Sent” for the system to send notice that benefits denied/benefits terminated.

c. If a case level NAC match task is created for an individual with an open Public Assistance Reporting Information Systems (PARIS) match task, the PARIS match task will close if both matches are from the same state. However, if the PARIS match is in a different state than the NAC match, then both the PARIS and NAC match tasks will remain open.

B. NAC Match Initial Action Required

A task is created by Interfaces when NAC is called, and a potential match is identified with Kentucky being the initiating state.
