Vendor Management

1 of 1 POLICY:

The West Virginia WIC Program performs functions of accepting Vendor applications, Vendor training, Vendor monitoring, sanctioning Vendors for program violations and abuse, handling of Vendor complaints and attending Vendor hearings at the State Agency level.

PROCEDURE:

A. Local Agency Responsibilities

1. Local Agency personnel must assist the State Agency with Program operations involved in the WIC participant to Vendor relationship (see Policy 8.02 Local Agency Responsibilities).

B. Vendor Responsibilities

1. WIC Vendors must adhere to the WIC Program’s federal regulations and to the regulations, policies, and, procedures of the WV WIC Program contained in the WV WIC Vendor Handbook, Vendor Agreement, and Vendor Policies.
