Establishment of unit.
(a)#
The department shall establish a Milwaukee County enrollment services unit under s. 15.02 (3) (c) 3. to determine eligibility under and administer the following public assistance programs in the county: 1. Income maintenance programs. 2. The programs under ss. 49.77 and 49.775. 3. To the extent contracted under par. (b), the child care subsidy program under s. 49.155.

(b)#
The department of children and families may enter into a contract with the department of health services that provides for the performance of eligibility and authorization functions under the program under s. 49.155 in the county by the unit.
(c)#
The department may enter into a contract with the county that provides for the performance by the county of any of the administrative functions under this subsection.
(d)#
The department shall reimburse the county for all approved, allowable costs that are incurred by the county under a contract with the department for the operation of the public assistance programs under par. (a) in the county.
