and Health Services, et al., United States district court for the 1 western district of Washington, cause no. 14-cv-01178-MJP. 2 (21) $13,324,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 3 fiscal year 2024 and $44,813,000 of the general fund—state 4 appropriation for fiscal year 2025 are provided solely for the 5 department to operate the maple lane campus. Of the amounts provided 6 in this subsection: 7 (a) $4,764,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal 8 year 2024 and $5,239,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 9 fiscal year 2025 are provided solely for the department to operate 10 the Oak, Columbia, and Cascade cottages to provide: 11 (i) Treatment services to individuals committed to a state 12 hospital under chapter 71.05 RCW pursuant to the dismissal of 13 criminal charges and a civil evaluation ordered under RCW 10.77.086 14 or 10.77.088; 15 (ii) Treatment services to individuals acquitted of a crime by 16 reason of insanity and subsequently ordered to receive treatment 17 services under RCW 10.77.120; and 18 (iii) Through fiscal year 2024, competency restoration services 19 at the Cascade cottage to individuals under RCW 10.77.086 or 20 10.77.088. 21 (b) $8,560,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal 22 year 2024 and $39,574,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 23 fiscal year 2025 are provided solely for the department to open and 24 operate the Baker and Chelan cottages to provide treatment services 25 to individuals committed to a state hospital under chapter 71.05 RCW 26 pursuant to the dismissal of criminal charges and a civil evaluation 27 ordered under RCW 10.77.086 or 10.77.088. 28 (c) In considering placements at the maple lane campus, the 29 department must maximize forensic bed capacity at the state hospitals 30 for individuals in jails awaiting admission that are class members of 31 Trueblood, et al. v. Department of Social and Health Services, et 32 al., United States district court for the western district of 33 Washington, cause no. 14-cv-01178-MJP. 34 (22) $1,412,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 35 fiscal year 2024 and $1,412,000 of the general fund—state 36 appropriation for fiscal year 2025 are provided solely for 37 relocation, storage, and other costs associated with building 38 demolition on the western state hospital campus. 39 p. 161 ESSB 5187.SL
