100.5.1 AR Procedures
Households note in writing the name of the person they have chosen as an AR to act on behalf of the household on a 139REP or 202. If identified on the 202, a 139REP must be sent to the household. A written signature is required for all ARs; electronic signatures are not allowed.
Households can have multiple ARs at a time. ARs must be: an adult, not a member of the household, and aware of the household’s situation.
ARs complete the following actions when acting for the household: apply for 3SVT benefits for the household, complete 3SVT Work Requirements screening, report for the household, and access the benefits to purchase allowable food for the household.
ARs must verify their identity when applying on behalf of a household.
ARs are not issued their own EBT card. ARs use the EBT card issued to the household.
ARs are not limited to the number of households they can represent.
See, Addiction Treatment Centers and Group Living for the Disabled for AR requirements related to these households.
