1000.4.1 Proof of Good Cause

Documentary evidence or other information that shows the household has applied for or made every effort to supply the necessary information for an SSN is proof of Good Cause .

This information may come from any of the following: The household member SSA DCF staff

Note : Good cause does not include delays caused by illness, lack of transportation or temporary absences from the home as SSA allows mail-in applications.
