Make sure the date the verification was requested is entered in the CHIP INRD screen “Info Requested Date” field. Verification is due by July 23rd. Verification was not received by July 23rd, so the recertification auto denies for failure to provide information. Verification is received July 25th. The case is reverted to open status and allotment is prorated from July 25th.

Example #5: The recertification auto denies because the household fails to complete interview by July 20th. The household completes the Interview on July 21st. Actual date of interview is coded on CHIP INRD screen, and a Y is also entered in the “Completed” field to acknowledge the completion of the interview. The household must be given at least 10 days to submit verification. Verification is due by July 31st. Verification is received July 29th. The allotment should be prorated from the date of the interview.
