911 Chapter 5:Temporary Assistance for Domestic Violence Survivors (TA-DVS) Program • Section 8: Payments (07/2026) • Not exceed $3,200 in the 90-day certification period • Address a specific episode of crisis or need • Be related to their domestic violence safety plan • Pay the minimum amount necessary. If the survivor has income available during the 90-day certification period, consider it when determining appropriate benefit level at each payment request. Payment of program benefits should not be delayed based on pending income if doing so would put the individual at increased risk of domestic violence. Alternate community resources, if they exist, are to be pursued prior to issuing TA-DVS payments unless doing so would cause a delay that could affect the survivor’s safety. TA-DVS benefits can only be used during the 90-day certification period. ODHS cannot make payments past the 90-day certification period unless all needed verification was received by ODHS prior to or on the 90th day and ODHS was unable to make payment due to agency error. All payments must be issued within 10 days after the final date of the certification period. Note: The payment request date in ONE Other Payments module must be the date the payment request is received and a date that falls within in the 90-day certification period. Examples of agency error: • There was no financial clerk in the office to make payment at the time of request. • ODHS called the landlord before the end of the certification period and got a return call after business hours. • There was no staff with an authorization role available to authorize the payment in ONE. • All information was received, and ODHS did not have available staff to review and authorize before the end of business day.
