784 Chapter 4:Working with families • Section 2: Engagement in the JOBS Program (07/2026) • A JOBS eligible individual in the need group agrees to engage in a JOBS program activity, • TANF program benefits are closed, and the family is no longer receiving TANF benefits, • The individual is no longer a member of the household group, • The individual is unable to participant because there is no appropriate activity or support services necessary to support the activity, • The individual is unable to participant due to a disability, the Department’s failure to provide a needed accommodation or an accommodation was provided but was not successful. • The JOBS disqualification was overturned due to new information, which would have granted the participant good cause, or a departmental review determined the disqualification was applied in error. Cash benefits impacted by a JOBS disqualification are restored on the date any of the following occur: • The disqualified individual’s status changed to JOBS exempt or JOBS volunteer, • The individual is no longer a member of the household group, • The individual agrees to engage in a JOBS program activity, • It is determined, by the Department, there are no appropriate activities or support services necessary to support the activity available for the individual to participate in the JOBS program, • The Department verified a disability preventing the individual from participating in the JOBS program, determined that a needed accommodation was not provided, or a provided accommodation was no successful. • The date the JOBS disqualification was implemented when ended due to new information or departmental review overturned the disqualification.
