Continuous eligibility MSP OSIPM HSD Continuous Eligibility (CE) is a group of rules and policies which allow children and adults to maintain eligibility for a minimum amount of time, even if their circumstances change such that they no longer meet financial or non-financial eligibility requirements for any medical program. CE is evaluated at an individual level and will follow the individual across cases as long as there is no gap in benefits Prior to July 1, 2023, CE was only provided for children. With a few exceptions, beginning July 1, 2023, CE was expanded as shown below: • Children receive CE through the end of the month of their 6th birthday, regardless of what age they become eligible. • Almost everyone age 6 and older, including adults, receive a 2-year (24 month) CE period.
