In August, DELC initiates the annual waitlist refresh process to confirm continued interest from families who have been waiting 12 months or longer. Nia is notified that she must complete and submit a response form by the stated deadline in order to remain on the list. Nia does not respond and does not contact ODHS. Because no response is received, Nia’s EDG is removed from the waitlist. A system-generated notice is sent explaining the removal. A case note is automatically added to document the reason for removal. Nia must reapply if she wants to pursue ERDC. Example 5: Remains on Waitlist; Responds to Annual Refresh Hussein is on the ERDC waitlist with an EDG of four people. In August, DELC begins the annual waitlist refresh process to verify whether families still need child care support. Hussein receives instructions for submitting a response form and completes it on time, confirming that he wants to remain on the waitlist. Because his response is received by the deadline, his EDG remains on the waitlist with the same waitlist number. A case note is automatically added to reflect the timely response and continued placement. REF This does not apply to REF. MSP This does not apply to MSP. OSIPM This does not apply to OSIPM. HSD This does not apply to HSD. Expedited service and priority processing Individual program example(s) SNAP Example 1: Jarrell, a non-citizen, has $100 a month in income, and no resources. He has a non- citizen status that makes him ineligible for SNAP benefits. Jerrell meets the expedited service criteria but is denied because he does not meet all other SNAP eligibility requirements. Example 2: Nala, a non-citizen, has $100 a month in income, and no resources. She also has a non-citizen status that appears SNAP eligible but SAVE indicates to implement secondary verification. Nala is approved for SNAP benefits, because she appears to meet all eligibility requirements and the eligibility decision cannot be delayed beyond the seven-day processing time-frame while waiting for the secondary verification from SAVE.
