107 (07/2026) Chapter 2:Eligibility • Section 1: Application HSD OHP Bridge-Basic Health Program (BHP) is evaluated every 12 months.
All HSD medical programs are renewed via automated renewal or active renewal. Automated renewal: Cases that are in Active/Approved status may be selected for automated renewal. ODHS|OHA shall redetermine eligibility using information found in the participant’s electronic account and information that is available electronically. ONE will automatically attempt to renew participants about two and a half months prior to the end of their certification period by comparing existing data against the Federal Data Services Hub (FDSH). In the absence of discrepancies, ONE will automatically renew eligibility and send participants a notice to inform them of the renewal and a case summary showing the case data used to complete it. If there are discrepancies, cases will either pend for appropriate verification or be removed from automated renewal processes and sent to the active renewal process. Active renewal: If a case cannot be processed through automated renewal, ONE will generate and send a pre-populated renewal form and a case summary containing current case information with instructions to return the form by a designated response date. The application process is complete when the applicant, their authorized representative or, for all medical programs, a person acting responsibly on the applicant’s behalf complete the following steps: • Establish a date of request (DOR) or filing date. • Submit a completed and signed application. • Complete an interview, if one is required, as soon as possible after the DOR or filing date is established. (Some programs have requirements about how quickly the scheduled interview needs to occur to ensure there is enough time for verification and the eligibility decision.) Note: There is no interview requirement for HSD medical programs. • Provide any required verification.
