003.05(B)(v) MOTOR VEHICLES.

One motor vehicle regardless of its value, as long as it is necessary for an applicant or client or a member of his or her household for employment or medical treatment, is disregarded. If an applicant or client has more than one motor vehicle, the vehicle with the greatest equity must be excluded. Any other motor vehicles are treated as non-liquid resources and the equity is counted toward the resource limit. An applicant’s or client’s verbal statement the motor vehicle is used for employment or medical treatment is sufficient for verification purposes.
