Q24: I do not have an elderly or disabled household member; am I still eligible for the SUA? A24: If you are responsible for paying heating or cooling costs, you are still entitled to the SUA. The SUA will no longer automatically apply if you receive a LIHEAP payment. You must provide information about your utility expenses to qualify for the SUA. If you are eligible for the SUA, it could increase your SNAP amount.
Q25: Does this change my SUA expense now? A25: No. Your utility expenses will be adjusted at your next recertification or when other updates are addressed.
Q26: When must I report my utility expenses to continue receiving the SUA? A26: Report all expenses on your application during your next recertification. If you continue to pay heating and cooling costs, you will remain eligible for the SUA.
