partners and individuals seeking sustainable employment. 03/27/2025 NC Workforce Development Board Meeting Executive Director The group agreed to continue meeting regularly to maintain momentum and deepen collaboration around workforce development initiatives. Ongoing meetings will allow partners to share resources, track progress, and align strategies that benefit participants. In addition, the MTAJ-NC Program Coordinator will consider applying to serve as a board member. This potential role would provide a stronger voice for SNAP E&T within workforce planning, strengthen relationships with partner organizations, and help ensure that the needs of participants are represented in future decision- making. 09/05/2025 NC Governor's Policy Academy Special Programs Analyst As part of the National Governors Association (NGA) Policy Academy from August 2025 – February 2026, MTAJ-NC, Workforce Solutions, and other key partners organizations collaborate to enhance state SNAP E&T programs by developing policy changes and implementation plans that improve the effectiveness of services, while fostering peer learning and collaboration with subject-matter experts. Coordination Coordination with the workforce development system consists of efforts to partner with workforce providers to directly serve SNAP E&T participants or to align the flow or types of services offered across programs. Describe any special State initiatives (i.e. Governor-initiated or through State legislation) that include SNAP E&T. Describe any efforts taken by the State agency to coordinate these programs, services, partners, and/or activities with the State's E&T program. North Carolina has been selected for the second consecutive year to participate in the National Governors Association (NGA) Policy Academy to Strengthen SNAP Employment & Training Programs.
