13.6 Exemptions to the ABAWD Work Requirements.

An individual is not subject to the ABAWD time limits if he or she is: A. Under 18 or age 65 or older; B. Determined by MDHS to be physically or mentally unfit for employment; C. a parent (natural, adoptive, or step) of a household member under age 14, regardless of that member’s eligibility status; D. residing in a household where a household member is under age 14, regardless of that member’s eligibility status; E. Pregnant; F. Indian; G. Urban Indian; H. California Indian I. Otherwise exempt from the general SNAP work requirements. Persons aged 60 or older are exempt from the general work requirements.
