XVIII. To collaborate with USDA, the National WIC Association and other states WIC Programs (through the EBT Users Group meetings) to track current trends in EBT delivery approaches.

XIX. To collaborate with Administration & Management on disaster preparedness.

A. Collect and review local program Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP) to ensure plans address a variety of possible emergency situations and local program emergency response including preparedness, response, and recovery of services as well as minimize disruption of WIC services.

B. Provide consultation and technical assistance to local programs to plan for continued WIC services (essential functions and operations) to participants and/or potentially eligible individuals with the threat of an impending or actual emergency.

C. Update and revise the sections of the Program Manual (PM) Disaster Preparedness chapter and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), as needed.

D. Collaborate with all Units to implement administrative and participant-facing procedures to ensure ongoing access to WIC services and benefits in times of emergency or disaster.
