C-311-SNAP - PO INITIAL CERTIFICATION

Verify the identity of the person interviewed.

If an authorized representative applies for the household, verify the identities of both the authorized representative and the head of the household.

The OMV/LaWallet interface * and the Paternity Establishment and Support Enforcement (PESE) interface must be checked prior to requesting verification of identity from the person being interviewed.

EXCEPTION: If it is necessary to meet expedited service time limits, you may verify identity only of the authorized representative being interviewed. Verification of the identity of the head of the household may be postponed.

C-312-SNAP-PO REDETERMINATION

If a redetermination interview is conducted, verify the identity of the person interviewed if the person has not been identified before. The OMV/LaWallet and PESE interfaces must be checked prior to requesting verification of identity from the person being interviewed.

C-313-SNAP-PO RECEIPT OF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE AUTOMATED BENEFIT CARD

Verify the identity of the head of household, spouse, any other responsible household member, or authorized representative receiving the Louisiana Purchase Automated Benefit Card.

II. PROCEDURES

The OMV/LaWallet and PESE interfaces ** must be checked prior to requesting verification of identity from the person being interviewed at application and redetermination. See C-320-SNAP How to Verify Identity.
