2 of 2 o If it is obvious that the person is unable to purchase and prepare meals separately because he suffers from a severe physical or mental disability, document the record concerning the worker's observations. Additional verification is not required.

o If the disability is not obvious, verify the disability by requiring a statement from a physician or licensed or certified psychologist certifying that the person is unable to purchase and prepare meals because he suffers from one of the disabilities considered permanent under the Social Security Act (refer to C-1520-SNAP, section C-1523-SNAP) or some other severe, permanent physical or mental disease or nondisease-related disability.

165% Income Test Standard
