Supportive services to enable an applicant or recipient to participate in the screening, education, treatment and/or rehabilitation program are provided through STEP Supportive Services.

II. PROCEDURES

B-1861-FITAP - PR CHILD CARE

If it is determined that the client will need child care to participate in the OBH assessment or the education, treatment and rehabilitation program recommended by OBH, assist the client in making arrangements for needed child care by referring the client to the Louisiana Department of Education (LDE) for services. Contact information for the LDE/Child Care can be found at: http://www.louisianabelieves.com/early-childhood/child-care-assistance-program.

If the treatment program recommended by OBH includes residential treatment and the recipient is unable to arrange for the temporary care of the children, contact the Child Welfare Section to arrange for the care of the children.

B-1862-FITAP - PR TRANSPORTATION

Transportation incurred to enable the applicant or recipient to participate in the screening, education, treatment and rehabilitation program is provided through STEP Supportive Services unless free transportation is available.
