1 of 1 I. STATEMENT OF POLICY
The FITAP Drug Testing policy is intended to detect the possible use of or dependence on illegal drugs by FITAP recipients age 18 and over in order that they may be referred to the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) – Addictive Disorder (AD) for further testing to confirm whether the recipient uses or is dependent on illegal drugs. If use of or dependence on illegal drugs is confirmed by OBH; OBH will provide education, treatment and rehabilitation services. Detection and treatment of drug related problems is an essential step in assisting the recipient to overcome barriers which prevent the recipient from achieving self-sufficiency and promotes the safety and well-being of the recipient and his dependent children.
