CLIENTS MUST RESIDE IN LOUISIANA TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR BENEFITS.

The following persons meet the residency requirement:

● Any person currently living in Louisiana who intends to make a home here and whose stay is not for temporary purposes.

● Other persons living in the state at the time of application who entered the state with a job commitment or an intention to seek employment (regardless of current employment status), and are not receiving assistance from another state.

Homeless families are considered to meet the residency requirement if the above requirements are met. Refer to B-521 (DOCNO = B-520).

NOTE: The child is a resident if his caretaker is a resident.
