Volume 2 - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) MS 3150 – R. 6/30/26 – OMTL – 368 Recertifications by the Social Security Administration (SSA)

[Supplemental Security Income (SSI) households are recertified the same way as other households, with the following exceptions:

A. SSI households are entitled to complete timely applications for recertification through the SSA if:

1. They do not have a pending SNAP application; and

2. They have received an appointment letter from the Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) informing them of their need to reapply.

B. An application for recertification is considered filed when received by the SSA office.]
