Enter the change on the system. B. If the change does not require verification, enter the change using Client Statement (CS) as the verification source. C. If the change must be verified, inform the household that verification of the change must be provided within 10 calendar days of the date reported. Enter the change to pend the case and send a Request for Information (RFI) to the household. If the 10th calendar day falls on a weekend or holiday, the system allows the household until the next business day to provide the verification. D. The system acts on the change after 10 calendar days, effective with the allotment issued the month following the month the 10-day timely notice period expires, unless the household requests a fair hearing and continuation of benefits. E. If the action is taken without verification, advise the household that the missing verification must be supplied at the time of recertification. If there is a decrease in benefits, the household will be issued a Notice of Adverse Action informing them of the change. Regardless of whether verification is provided, a Notice of Eligibility is sent advising the household of action taken. F. If a verified change results in the discontinuance of benefits, only households with three or more members will be discontinued. One and two-member households will receive the minimum monthly allotment until the end of the certification period. Note: Refer to MS 6707 for information regarding acting on changes reported after cut-off that affect the next month's benefits when the case is due for recertification in the next month.
