System Inquiries, including Eligibility Advisor (EA), cannot be used as verification for income without first speaking with the individual to ensure the income is correct.
Example: On June 5, a match is received that an individual who is included in a five-member SNAP household is employed. The employer and wages are available to view on EA. Attempts to contact the individual by phone to ensure EA accuracy are unsuccessful, and EA cannot be used. An RFI is mailed to the household requesting verification of employment income. On June 15, the verification has not been returned, and the household has not made contact to discuss the RFI. The system will discontinue the SNAP case.
