MS 6525 [1] Volume 2 - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) MS 6525 – R. 7/15/26 – OMTL – 702 Change Reported Prior to Processing Recertification

While a recertification is pending, handle reported changes as follows:

A. [If a household provides required verification at the time a change is reported, update the pending recertification with the changed information and verification. The change becomes effective when the recertification is processed.

B. For Changes to Timely and Untimely Recertifications: 1. If a household reports a change without verification, and the change is made with 10 or more days remaining before the 30th day, the RFI due date remains 30 days from the recertification initiation date (or next business day, if the 30th day is a weekend or holiday).

2. If a household reports a change without verification, and there are less than 10 days remaining before the 30th day, the RFI due date is 10 days from the date the change is initiated. (or the next business day, if the 10th day is a weekend or holiday).
