Volume 2 - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) MS 3280 – R. 6/30/26 – OMTL – 680 Simplified Assistance for the Elderly (SAFE) Recertification Processing

[All SAFE cases are certified for 36 months. Form SF-2, SAFE recertification, is generated one month prior to the end of the certification period and mailed to the recipient. Recertifications coming due are displayed on the SAFE workers’ dashboard daily as they are received by mail.

If a recertification is not entered on the system by the 10th day of the certification end month, Worker Portal generates a second SF-2. If the recertification is not entered on the system by the end of the certification period, the SAFE case is discontinued for failure to return the SF-2 SAFE recertification form.]
