1610.46.00 APPLYING THE SIL (SPECIAL INCOME LEVEL) BUDGET FOR MEMBERS RESIDING IN FACILITIES For the correct Medicaid budget to be applied, it is important to select the correct facility type on the Facility Details screen in the eligibility system (if applicable). If it is unclear what type of facility an individual resides in, it must be verified. This can be completed by contacting the individual, authorized representative or facility.

The selections below will build the SIL budget in the eligibility system:

• Developmentally Disabled or Developmental Disability • Nursing Facility/Long Term Care • Hospital • Psychiatric Hospital • CRF/DD Developmentally Disabled

If a member has an approved HCBS waiver, the SIL budget will automatically be applied. For more information regarding the SIL, see IHCPPM 3010.20.15 and 3315.00.00. 1610.47.00 APPLYING THE SIL (SPECIAL INCOME LEVEL) BUDGET FOR HCBS WAIVERS The Eligibility System will automatically update the HCBS waiver status, workers are unable to make these updates. The waiver status is received from the approving waiver State agency. Not all HCBS waiver interfaces will form the SIL budget. The SIL budget will form in the Eligiblity System when the interface displays:

• Active • Pend for Aid and Eligibility • Pend for Other Information

The SIL budget will not form in the eligibility system when the interface displays:

• Targeted • Terminated from Waiver • Denied
