To be eligible in this category an individual must be entitled to Medicare Part A.6 There is no other blindness or disability requirement for the QMB category. Medicaid coverage under QMB is limited to payment of the following:7 • The monthly premium for Medicare Part B • The monthly premium for Premium Hospital Insurance under Medicare Part A for individuals not entitled to free Part A • Medicare Parts A and B deductibles and co-insurance. An individual can be simultaneously eligible for QMB and any other full coverage MA.
