Provider Personal Leave Request forms will be published available on the Illinois Care for Kids website (www.illinoiscaresforkids.com), at CCR&Rs and through SEIU once they are available. Home providers may submit a request for any day after July 1, 2025.
Reporting Changes of Information CCAP policy was updated on April 1, 2025, to allow families 30 days (previously 10 days) to report changes in their information. Reporting changes during an eligibility period will not result in lowering the number of days care is approved for or increase the family’s monthly co- payment. Changes that families are required to report to their CCAP office at the CCR&R or Site Administered provider are:
• Change in contact information • Change in activity (job, school…) • Loss of activity o Grace periods are provided to allow time to find a new activity or return after a temporary break (medical/maternal leaves, seasonal work, school summer break…). • Family countable income increases above 85% of the State Median Income (SMI). See the SMI income chart above. • Change in family size o Add/remove a child that needs care o Change/add a provider o Death of family member
Early CCAP Applications Now Accepted Effective May 1, 2025 families are now allowed to apply for CCAP or request a provider change up to 90 calendar days before the start of care. This change is to make it easier for families to enroll in summer programs and other programs with limited slots.
We appreciate your continued partnership in ensuring families and their children have equitable access to high quality early childhood education and care experiences.
Should you have any questions feel free to reach out to your CCR&R for additional details.
Sincerely,
Michael Garner-Jones
