ESA SNAP Policy Manual 189 regardless of whether the household contains an elderly or disabled member. See Table 25.3.g, Asset Limits, for current amounts, which are adjusted every October. ESA cannot require the household to report additional changes. Households can voluntarily report other changes. See Section 15.4, Mid-Certification Requirements, for details on what simplified reporting households are required to report at mid-certification. 15.2.1 Failure to Report a Required Change If ESA discovers that a SNAP household on simplified reporting failed to report a change it was required to report and received benefits to which it was not entitled, ESA must take the following actions: Verify the change when appropriate. Reduce or terminate benefits based on the verified change. Issue a Notice of Adverse Action in accordance with Section 16.6, Notice of Adverse Action. Establish a claim against the household in accordance with Chapter 23, Claims Against the Household. Refer to Chapter 21, Disqualification for Intentional Program Violation, if the household’s failure to report was intentional. Reminder: SNAP households assigned to simplified reporting are only required to report changes defined in Section 15.2, What Households Are Required to Report.
