Not later than January 15, 2001, the State Department of Social Services, in conjunction with the State Department of Public Health and appropriate stakeholders, shall develop and submit to the Legislature a community outreach and education campaign to help families learn about, and apply for, the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, administered in California as CalFresh, and the California Food Assistance Program.
