9.3.3.A SNAP If the SNAP benefit amount is reduced or terminated within the certification period because a member is disqualified, the reason for the disqualification, the eligibility, and benefit level of the remaining AG members and the action the AG must take to end the disqualification, if applicable, must be shown on the form. 9.3.4 NOTICE OF MATCH RESULTS FOR SNAP When the agency receives a Notice of Match Results from the Income Eligibility Verification System that conflicts with case information, and the agency cannot resolve it internally, the client is required to provide the independent verification to clarify or confirm the information.
The Notice of Match Results (NCHZ) will be utilized when the agency receives information from a third-party source (see 10.4.2.B.3 third-party sources). The data may include wages, death, new hire, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), prisoner, and Federal Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS).
The NCHZ will be sent to the household explaining: • The data match that triggered the review • What information is missing or inconsistent • What type of independent verification is needed • The deadline to respond
If the client does not provide the requested verification, fails to respond to the notice, or refuses to cooperate, the eligibility worker may take action to remove the household member from the SNAP assistance group or close the SNAP case. If verification is sufficient and resolves the conflict: • The case continues, or • Is adjusted as needed. NOTE: The Notice of Match Results will not replace the DFA-6. The current verification checklist (DFA-6) does not contain specific data match hit findings, nor does it inform the individual of the opportunity to contest such findings in order to clarify the circumstances. Therefore, independent verification will be required from the client.
