14.1 INTRODUCTION This chapter details work requirements for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, WV WORKS and Medicaid. It designates the member(s) of the assistance group (AG) to whom the requirements apply and the penalty or sanction for failure to meet the requirements. This chapter also discusses good cause. There are no work requirements for the Medicaid Program. For requirements and responsibilities related to the SNAP Employment and Training Program (SNAP E&T), see Chapter 17. All SNAP clients at least 16 years old may volunteer for SNAP E&T.
