• The RI reduces the amount of the claim(s) by the amount of the expunged benefits. 11.3.8.G Months Removed from the Lifetime Limit Once a participant has repaid a month of TANF benefits that was received ineligibly, it is the Family Support Specialist’s responsibility to inquire about any months which should be removed from the TANF lifetime limit. SSI parents may not choose to repay any month to reduce their lifetime limit to below 60 months to receive child only WV WORKS; benefits must have been received ineligibly. See also IMM 18.2.1.

NOTE: All funds deposited into a cash EBT account, including WV WORKS, CSI, and Diversionary Cash Assistance, are used to reduce cash claims when removed from an EBT account and a claim exists.
