11.2.1 Hourly Payment Reductions for Missed Activities
CSJ Community Service Job and W-2 T W-2 Transition participants must participate in all assigned work training activities or education and training activities outlined in their EP Employability Plan .
Payments for CSJ and W-2 T participants who do not participate in assigned activities are reduced by $5.00 per hour for hours missed without good cause. (See 11.3.1 )
Agencies must encourage participants to inform their FEP Financial and Employment Planner prior to the activity start time, if they know in advance that they will be unable to participate in an assigned activity. However, a participant must not be penalized if they do not inform their FEP prior to the activity time.
A participant has seven working days after an absence from a W-2 assigned activity to notify their worker of the reason for the absence.
The FEP must then use the good cause criteria to determine whether the absence meets any of the W-2 good cause reasons. (See 11.3.2 )
Participants placed in CMC Custodial Parent of an Infant and ARP At Risk Pregnancy placements are not subject to W-2 hourly payment reductions, do not have participation requirements, and cannot be subject to a payment reduction.
