House Bill No. 1747 (child relative placements). If the bill is not 1 enacted by June 30, 2022, the amount provided in this subsection 2 shall lapse. 3 (36) $17,000 of the legal services revolving account—state 4 appropriation is provided solely for implementation of Substitute 5 House Bill No. 1286 (psychology compact). If the bill is not enacted 6 by June 30, 2022, the amount provided in this subsection shall lapse. 7 (37) $133,000 of the legal services revolving account—state 8 appropriation is provided solely for implementation of Substitute 9 House Bill No. 1735 (use of force). If the bill is not enacted by 10 June 30, 2022, the amount provided in this subsection shall lapse. 11 (38)(a) $125,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 12 fiscal year 2023 is provided solely for a study regarding state and 13 local responses to acts or potential acts of domestic terrorism in 14 Washington state. 15 (b) In conducting the study, the office must review laws and 16 policies regarding domestic terrorism, including but not limited to: 17 (i) Federal, state, and local laws regarding acts of domestic 18 terrorism, including how a criminal incident is determined to be an 19 act of domestic terrorism; 20 (ii) State and local data collection, tracking, and reporting 21 practices as related to acts of domestic terrorism; and 22 (iii) State and local policies regarding responding to acts of 23 domestic terrorism. 24 (c) By December 15, 2022, the office must submit a report to the 25 appropriate committees of the legislature that includes but is not 26 limited to: 27 (i) A summary of current laws and policies as identified in (b) 28 of this subsection; 29 (ii) Recommended best practices for: 30 (A) Standardizing and improving data collection, tracking, and 31 reporting on acts of domestic terrorism at the state and local level; 32 and 33 (B) Strengthening law enforcement, prosecutorial, and other local 34 government responses to a potential act of domestic terrorism; and 35 (iii) Recommendations for any statutory changes that may be 36 necessary for clarity and consistency. 37 p. 746 ESSB 5187.SL
