(ii) Persistence and completion rates of Washington college grant 1 recipients and college bound recipients, disaggregated by institution 2 of higher education; 3 (iii) Washington college grant recipient grade point averages; 4 and 5 (iv) Washington college grant and college bound scholarship 6 program costs. 7 (b) The student achievement council shall submit student unit 8 record data for state financial aid program applicants and recipients 9 to the education data center. 10 NEW SECTION. Sec. 602. (1) Within the amounts appropriated in 11 this act, each institution of higher education shall seek to: 12 (a) Maintain and to the extent possible increase enrollment 13 opportunities at campuses; 14 (b) Maintain and to the extent possible increase enrollment 15 opportunities at university centers and other partnership programs 16 that enable students to earn baccalaureate degrees on community 17 college campuses; and 18 (c) Eliminate and consolidate programs of study for which there 19 is limited student or employer demand, or that are not areas of core 20 academic strength for the institution, particularly when such 21 programs duplicate offerings by other in-state institutions. 22 (2) For purposes of monitoring and reporting statewide 23 enrollment, the University of Washington and Washington State 24 University shall notify the office of financial management of the 25 number of full-time student equivalent enrollments for each of their 26 campuses. 27 NEW SECTION. Sec. 603. PUBLIC BACCALAUREATE INSTITUTIONS 28 (1) The state universities, the regional universities, and The 29 Evergreen State College must accept the transfer of college-level 30 courses taken by students under RCW 28A.600.290 or 28A.600.300 if a 31 student seeking a transfer of the college-level courses has been 32 admitted to the state university, the regional university, or The 33 Evergreen State College, and if the college-level courses are 34 recognized as transferrable by the admitting institution of higher 35 education. 36 p. 542 ESSB 5187.SL
