Within 7 amounts provided in this section the superintendent may distribute 8 funding for safety net awards for charter schools with demonstrated 9 needs for special education funding beyond the amounts provided under 10 chapter 28A.710 RCW. 11 (2) $3,293,000 of the opportunity pathways account—state 12 appropriation is provided solely for implementation of chapter 50, 13 Laws of 2023 (K-12 inflationary increases). 14 (3) $1,421,000 of the opportunity pathways account—state 15 appropriation is provided solely for implementation of Engrossed 16 Substitute House Bill No. 1436 (special education funding). If the 17 bill is not enacted by June 30, 2023, the amount provided in this 18 subsection shall lapse. 19 NEW SECTION. Sec. 521.
