Funding may be used to provide statewide 5 professional development opportunities for mentors and beginning 6 educators. Of the amounts provided in this subsection, $1,000,000 of 7 the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal year 2024 and 8 $1,000,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal year 9 2025 are provided solely to support first year educators in the 10 mentoring program. 11 (f) $4,000,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for fiscal 12 year 2024 and $4,000,000 of the general fund—state appropriation for 13 fiscal year 2025 are provided solely for the provision of training 14 for teachers, principals, and principal evaluators in the 15 performance-based teacher principal evaluation program. 16 NEW SECTION.
