NON-EDUCATION, NON-WORK COMPONENT: SELF- EMPLOYMENT TRAINING Description of the component. Provide a summary of the activities and services. Self-employment requires a diverse set of skills. BFET training improves the participant’s skill level by training them to design and operate a small business or another self-employment venture. Self-Employment training topics can include, but are not limited to: * Technical assistance in developing business plans * Creating financial marketing plans *Accessing small business grants *Finding other business support services.
