Resource ownership and availability : describes how the department defines resources, determines ownership and availability of resources, property and contracts, vehicles, life insurance, burial funds and other excluded resources.

Resource eligibility and excess resource eligibility specific to long-term care is described in WAC 182-513-1350 .

Standards - LTSS

The individual must be resource eligible on the first day of the month to be eligible for any day or days of that month. A resource determination is made on the first moment of the first day of the month. Changes in the amount of an individual's countable resources during a month do not affect eligibility or ineligibility for that month. See WAC 182-512-0300 (1).
