Ensure the abuser’s household eligibility and benefit reflect the change in household composition due to the shelter household’s departure.

Shelter resident households are eligible for the same service and processing standards, and must meet the same eligibility requirements as other households, with the following exceptions : Duplicate benefits may be issued the first month the household moved into the shelter if the household was part of a SNAP household that included the abuser. Count only the income of the battered person and their children. Allow only the deductions of the battered person and their children.
