2100.5.1 Exemption from Institution Rules

Eligible Group Living for the Disabled facilities are exempt from Institution rules. Eligible group living for the disabled: is a public or private Nonprofit residential setting, serving no more than 16 residents, and certified by the appropriate agency or agencies of the State under regulations or comparable standards issued under Section 1616(e) of the Social Security Act.

If the facility’s eligibility isn’t known, email the Agency of Human Services-Economic Services Division-Assistant Operations (AHS-ESD-AOPS). AOPS will determine if the facility is eligible.
