1700.5.5.1 Application

Verification is required for at least $35.01 in medical expenses. If the household reports more than $191 in medical expenses, verification is required for all reported medical expenses if the household chooses to have actual medical expenses deducted. If the expenses are greater than $191 and the household chooses the medical standard, and at least $35.01 is verified, give them the standard.

Postpone verification for expedited service month(s), unless verification can be provided in time to meet the seven-day standard of promptness.
