1200.4.1 Exemptions that Require Verification

Verification and documentation are required prior to coding a person exempt from work registration for the following exemptions. If the verification is not returned within 10 days, keep the work registration code as “02” unless the person meets a different exemption. Do not deny or close benefits for failure to verify an exemption.
