I. Policy:

Local agencies shall refer appropriate participants to breastfeeding support persons or groups to help them successfully breastfeed.

II. Procedure(s):

A. Refer participants to breastfeeding peer counselors, lactation specialists / consultants, or other community resources such as La Leche League.
